The short answer

Freshdesk starts at $19 per agent per month with annual billing. Its documented Free Program covers up to two agents for six months; the separate product trial lasts 14 days.

Freshdesk pricing: the short answer

Freshdesk lists Growth at $19, Pro at $55, and Enterprise at $89 per agent per month, billed annually. These are US-dollar rates for Freshdesk; Freshdesk Omni is a separate product. See Freshworks pricing.

If you are looking for a Freshdesk free plan, start with the time limit. Freshworks documents a Free Program for up to two agents for six months. It is separate from the 14-day trial. See the Free Program terms.

This guide is published by FyneDesk. We checked the linked vendor documentation on October 7, 2026. The examples below are budgeting calculations, not negotiated quotes or results from a hands-on product test.

What does the Freshdesk Free Program include?

The documented program includes email and social ticketing, assignment, a knowledge base, reporting, and team collaboration. It is available for Freshdesk, not Freshdesk Omni. Freshworks requires an upgrade when you need more than two agents or want to continue beyond six months. Freshdesk Free Program documentation.

For a two-person business organizing support, the program can provide a useful starting period. If you need a helpdesk with no subscription over the long term, account for the end date before tickets and articles build up.

How to find the Free Program

Freshworks documents this path: open Admin → Account → Plans and Billing, choose Switch plan, then Try out our free Program. Its documentation warns that moving down from a higher plan can remove features and configurations. Activation instructions.

Before confirming, review the downgrade screen and list the routing rules, reports, and customer-facing features your team relies on. A trial only helps with the decision if the plan that supports your workflow fits your budget.

Existing subscriptions may have different terms. Use your account’s billing page to establish your own renewal position instead of assuming an older article describes the offer available to you now.

How is the 14-day trial different?

The trial lets you evaluate higher-plan capabilities. Freshworks’ subscription guide describes choosing a paid plan or switching to the Free Program afterward; it also distinguishes email-first Freshdesk from multichannel Freshdesk Omni. Freshdesk subscription guide.

Use the trial to test a few representative requests: a routine question, a reassigned ticket, an overdue request, and an issue that needs another department. Check who can see each one, how customers receive replies, and which report helps a manager spot missed work.

Record the plan required for each successful workflow. Then make an explicit post-trial choice in billing; do not assume leaving the trial alone enrolls you in the Free Program.

Which paid Freshdesk plan should you compare?

Plan USD per agent/month, billed annually Features to investigate
Growth $19 Shared inbox, customer portal, knowledge base
Pro $55 Multiple SLA policies, custom reporting, multilingual helpdesk
Enterprise $89 Skill-based routing, audit logs, sandbox

Choose the least expensive tier that supports your process. If you promise different response times to different customers, check that requirement first. Confirm any required report or administrative control before comparing seat prices.

Check which product appears on the quote. An email support budget differs from a multichannel one, so list the channels and integrations you need before comparing packages.

What would Freshdesk cost for your team?

Multiply the annual-billing seat rate by agent count and twelve months. For illustration:

Example team Monthly equivalent Annual seat cost
3 agents on Growth $57 $684
5 agents on Pro $275 $3,300
10 agents on Enterprise $890 $10,680

These calculations use the published base rates. They exclude tax, add-ons, discounts, implementation work, and changes to headcount.

Make a second budget for the team size you expect in six months. Include setup time as well as subscription costs: moving articles, checking email forwarding, training agents, and rebuilding workflows all take effort.

Add AI costs separately

Freddy AI Copilot is listed at $29 per agent per month, billed annually, on Pro and Enterprise. Freshdesk add-on pricing.

Freddy AI Agent is a separate usage item: new paid accounts receive 500 complimentary sessions once, and additional packs cost $49 per 100 sessions. Freshworks AI add-on documentation.

For example, five Pro seats plus two Copilot licenses total $333 per month equivalent, or $3,996 annually. Buying 1,000 additional billable AI Agent sessions adds $490, bringing that example to $4,486, before tax and other costs. Those are 1,000 purchased sessions across the example year, not 1,000 every month.

Estimate sessions from the requests you expect the AI agent to handle, then check the usage meter during evaluation. Freshworks says session packs expire at the end of the billing cycle and unused sessions do not roll over. Plan purchases around that cycle. AI Agent session rules.

When should you consider FyneDesk instead?

FyneDesk is relevant if you want an ongoing Free workspace for up to three agents, or a paid plan organized around client-service workflows. Free includes a shared email-to-ticket inbox, routing, contact records, and limited knowledge base and AI allowances. FyneDesk plan details.

FyneDesk plan Published price Main boundary to consider
Free $0 for up to 3 agents Limited knowledge base and AI allowances
Pro $12/agent monthly, or $10 with annual billing Client Portal, SLA management, standard workflows, integrations, webhooks
Business $39/agent monthly, or $32 with annual billing Advanced workflows, live chat, full REST API access; optional Auto Resolve add-on

Source: FyneDesk pricing. Paid plans are priced per agent; they are not flat-price subscriptions for an entire team. AI remains subject to allowances.

At five agents, FyneDesk Pro’s annual base subscription is $600, while Business is $1,920. Compare those figures with the package that meets your requirements, not simply the similarly named tier. Freshdesk Pro and FyneDesk Pro do not promise identical capabilities.

Freshdesk may suit your team if its routing, reporting, portal, or enterprise controls match your process. FyneDesk may be a better fit if you need an ongoing Free plan for a small team or its combination of client portal and operational workflows.
